I grew up in the Lower Mainland of B.C. where I completed my Bachelors of Psychiatric Nursing Degree at Kwantlen University in 2018. In 2019, I moved to Calgary where I worked as a nurse on various mental health inpatient units, then decided to make a change and began working on the Crisis Stabilization Unit, before transitioning to working as a group nurse and then finally working with individuals who have treatment resistant depression in an outpatient facility.

If I am not working you can find me running with friends, travelling the world, reading, trying new cafes, and meditating.

My clinical and lived experience has allowed me to work with various individuals struggling with mental health issues. I have worked with individuals who have personality disorders, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, addiction, bipolar disorder etc. The modalities I primarily use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy although this list is not limited and I want to work with you and what you need. My primary areas of focus are anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and addiction.

Virtual Telehealth & In person Calgary sessions available

Born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, surrounded by water and wildlife, I am now located in central Calgary, enjoying the mountains, beautiful fiery orange and red sunsets and the somewhat well-designed international airport that takes me quickly to a much hotter and tropical destination.

I am a self-proclaimed horrible yogi that enjoys mindfully falling out of my poses, I can usually be found hidden behind a twice-read mystery book, or binge-watching a real housewives series (my guilty pleasure).

Prior to obtaining my Masters in Counselling Psychology and my Canadian Certified Counsellor designation and Registered Clinical Counsellor, I completed my degree in Psychiatric Nursing at Douglas College. I have worked as a Psychiatric Nurse on several adolescent units as well as adult crisis stabilization mental health and addiction units. I have had the opportunity to teach in multiple health sciences programs, teaching Health Policy in Psychiatric Nursing, Pharmacology, Loss and Grief, Counselling Interventions in a Counselling Therapist Diploma Program and Communications in Health Care for Postgraduate Diploma in Canadian Nursing for foreign-trained nurses.

Common Areas of Focus

Born and raised in British Columbia, moving closer and closer to the ocean as I age, I am currently located on the unceded and traditional lands of both the shíshálh Nation and the Skwxwu7mesh uxwumixw, presently known as the Sunshine Coast.

I joke I must have an internal magnet as my love for polar regions has me travelling to these snow and ice covered lands as much as possible.  I have been as far north as Resolute Bay, NU and as far south as the Antarctic Peninsula.  When home in BC I find myself trying to get access to snow as much as possible.

I have been a Registered Psychiatric Nurse since April 2011, graduating from Douglas College.  Over this time I have spent time doing outreach on the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, worked with youth and adults with concurrent disorders and travelled to various communities in Nunavut as a Community Mental Health Nurse.  I have my Masters of Psychiatric Nursing via Brandon University.  In addition, I am a nursing instructor for future psychiatric nurses and am a membership committee member for both the Canadian Federation for Mental Health Nurses and the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses (international region).
