Mental Health Nurses Group for NIHB
A Mental Health Nursing Counselling Collective for those with Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)
We appreciate the privilege to live, work and play on the traditional lands of Indigenous people. We recognize that the individuals who were separated from their families, culture, and land, by policies put in place by settlers, continue to have lifelong impacts today. It is our mission to continue to learn, grow, evolve and advocate for positive change, while ensuring we do everything in our ability to prevent further harm. The Mental Health Nurses Group pledges to allocate 5% of each session to an Indigenous organization to show our appreciation, while contributing funds for the individuals whose lives have been and continue to be so greatly impacted by colonialism.

About
The Mental Health Nurses Group
We are a group of Registered Psychiatric Nurses living in British Columbia and Alberta. Our focus is supporting clients of Indigenous backgrounds. Each of us have a combination of lived, work and educational experiences to bring you compassionate, client centered, and excellent care. We offer bias free, non-judgmental care and work within an anti-oppressive lens. Our clinicians are registered with NIHB to provide care in Alberta. Currently two of our clinicians, Kellyanne & Brenna also offer sliding scale counselling to those not covered by NIHB.
